SOURCING SURVEY Here are the February, 2010 rankings of the most productive sources of recruitment according to recruiters.
Commentary: The top three sources are the same as last year but with Job Boards barely edging out Employee Referrals for the top spot. College Recruiting and Job Fairs were equally strong indicating the need for recruiters to physically reach out to job seekers and not depend solely upon desktop access.
Rounding out the list, Social Networking showed up for the first time at number 11, while Print Advertising fell to dead last in 14th place after Direct Sourcing and Employment Agencies.
While past surveys have reorted 5 or 6 sources used on average by respondents, this year respondents were more diligent in capturing all the sources used showing an averge of 8 or better sources used by each reporting firm.
